~ Oral Presentation ~

(Part 3)

11. Create a shortlist of five or so interesting topics which have been debated in the news since September last year. Make sure you’d be happy to make arguments for or against all of them. (~1.5 hrs).

12. Bookmark this Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhetorical_device. It will help you a lot when you are finding interesting persuasive techniques to include in your speech. (10 min).

13. Find three good resources or websites which explain the structure of a good oral presentation or speech. Bookmark all of them. (~45 mins).

14. Browse a few Ted Talks and save three where you think the presentation is especially good. You’ll be going over these later to work out what sorts of things you should do when making your own presentation. (~1hr).

Once you get to the time limit on each of these, make sure to wrap up so it doesn’t end up eating all your holidays.
