What does the program involve?

What will the classes cover?
- Text response masterclass (everything you need to plan and write a 10/10 essay under time pressure)

What dates and times are the classes?
Classes run on Fridays between 5-7pm.
We will also organise one-on-one sessions with each student to personalise all the learning to them.
How do I know it's for me?
Try it out! The group classes are fully refundable if after the first class you feel you didn't get any benefit, or the quality of service was anything less than what you were promised. What *do* I actually get for my money?
We get it - tutoring can be pricey these days, and a full program can be a big investment up front. So here's what you *actually* get practically with the program:
One-on-one initial assessment (usually $150)
- Marking of 3 essays
- 45 minute 1-1 class with a tutor going over your work + outlining specific aspects of your essays that you need to improve
Resources
- 53 pages of class notes covered in the sessions themselves
- 47 pages of additional notes to look back on through the year
- content includes all our essay-writing frameworks for text response, argument analysis and crafting texts (not sold or available to unenrolled students)
- access to recordings for all 6hrs of class time
Group classes (typically $260-370 on their own for 6 hrs)
- 2hrs per week for 3 weeks, including:
- 3hrs text response
- 1hr crafting texts
- 2hrs argument analysis
- live feedback on writing in your personal writing doc
- small group sessions (approx 6 students, up to 10)
Homework
- homework tasks each week (generally 1-2 essays weekly)
- personalisable homework plans for students who want to extend + get additional feedback on work ahead of the holidays
- extension work available for keen students
Marking
- all homework marked free (usually $60 per 1000 word essay for unenrolled students - works out to $180-300 worth of marking approx if all homework is completed)
- unlimited marking on additional submitted work (submit another 3-5 essays and the program is basically free)
Second assessment
- detailed explanation of areas to work on + improvements from initial essays submitted
- plan for topics to cover across the rest of the year
- specific tips for how to change sentences that need work
